Developed at Kripalu Center for Yoga and Health by Sachin Hazen, SpiritFire healing work is a powerful body-centered modality which combines conscious, relaxed breathing with intuitive bodywork and energy work. During an individual session, you will use a specific breathing technique (rebirthing breath) that maximizes oxygen intake and circulation, freeing the body's innate intelligence. You will receive hands on work while allowing your body to make sounds and move. This releases physical, emotional, and energetic blocks, freeing up the power of the life force (chi), and bringing the body to the vibrational level of being fully alive.

    Clients may experience insights into their next step in life, release of muscular and/or emotional blocks held since childhood, and feelings of profound peace. Spontaneous yogic postures may also occur and are supported and extended by the therapist.
 
 

    Sachin has been involved in the holistic healing field for over twenty years. He had a professional massage therapy practice in Boston for ten years, led weekly healing workshops there, and taught shiatsu and natural foods (macrobiotic) cooking. He has also been trained in Iyengar and Kripalu yoga, Embodyment (body-centered psychotherapy), social therapy, oriental medicine (Kushi Institute), palm healing, Phoenix Rising Yoga Therapy, and REIKI and was certified at the Body Electric School of Massage and Rebirthing in California. He graduated cum laude, Phi Beta Kappa from Wesleyan (Conn.) and has been a software engineer/manager in high tech as well as a restaurant chef. He was founder and director of Keiki Ananda, residential community/B&B in Hawai'i, and lived on Maui for over five years where he maintains a tour guide business to sacred sites.

   Sachin has trained with and worked closely with prominent body-centered psychotherapists Douglas Brady (sourcingyoursoul.net) and Cia Ricco (live-life.com). He also trained at the Boston Institute for Social Therapy and Research, the Tribeca Hypnosis & Healing Institute of NYC, as well as Kripalu Center (kripalu.org) in Massachusetts where he was on the residential staff for five years. While there he developed SpiritFire healing. Sachin has had a psychotherapy practice in Connecticut and New York City since 2002. He incorporates hypnotherapy into his practice and leads hypnosis groups for weight loss and smoking cessation.

We use SpiritFire breath-centered work to co-create a powerful group and individual healing experience. This includes led meditation, group sharing, exercises to create trust and bonding, as well as instruction and practice in SpiritFire, focusing on intuitive healing. There are three actual sessions where each person receives from two people at once.
